High Swinside Holiday Cottages

High Swinside Holiday Cottages sleep 2+, 9, or 5 people, and have an idyllic hillside setting with superb panoramic views within walking distance of High Lorton village in the Lorton valley. The Vale of Lorton is one of the Lake District's hidden gems - peaceful and unspoilt, yet only 8 miles from Keswick or 6 miles from Cockermouth.

For walking there are 3 beautiful lakes to choose from, challenging high peaks on the doorstep, and everything in between! There is good mountain biking close by in Whinlatter Forest, while the thriving Village Shop and the dog-friendly Wheatsheaf pub are 20 and 35 minutes walk away respectively.

High Swinside's three self-catering cottages are well-equipped and comfortable, with plenty of charm and character. Enjoy the extensive views from a bench in the garden, or relax beside a log burning stove after a frosty winter's walk - I hope you'll love staying here whenever you choose to come!
